Josiah, our first born

After graduation from Wheaton College this past May, Josiah applied to work with Samaritan's Purse. He was told to go to their website and suggest where he would like to work. Josiah suggested three different places and asked the recruiters to send him where they thought he would best fit. The response came back that he would be going to Japan, to help with the re-building process after the tsunami.

Joel and I have prayed for many months about these "next steps" for Josiah. We believe that it was God who opened this door for him and in direct answer to our prayers. He is loving the work, the country, the people of Japan, his team mates, just about everything about this new assignment. We are thrilled for him! and so grateful. Below is a link from the Samaritan's Purse website where you can get an idea of the kind of work that he is doing. You'll have to copy and paste it in order to read it - sorry about that!
